Nestled in the scenic beauty of Swainsboro, GA just off HWY 56, the iconic Swainsboro Raceway has been a cornerstone of automobile racing since its inception in 1964. The original dirt track welcomed fans to racing across three divisions with a grandstand that held just 100 spectators.

Over the decades the raceway has transformed remarkably — growing under the passionate former owners Paul and Debra Purvis, and today thriving under the proud new ownership of JJ and Dana Williams. Many Saturday nights the place comes alive with multiple racing and go-kart divisions, an average of 100+ cars, and crowds of over 2,500 fans. The venue now seats 3,500, with a family-friendly section, dedicated pit stalls, the Fan Zone parking area, the Bud Room for refreshments, and a VIP experience in three air-conditioned towers.

With over 500 drivers from across the country gracing the track each year, Swainsboro hosts headline events like the World of Outlaws Super Late Models, Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals, the Turkey 100, the Southern Dream Crate Late Model, the Pine Tree 100, and the Fire Cracker 100 — plus the annual Preacher Feature, Teacher Feature, and special days for young race fans.

In recent years Swainsboro added one of the finest go-kart facilities in the South — 13 divisions, drivers as young as five, over 100 pit stalls, and 300+ karts at single events. It’s the proving ground for the next generation of dirt-track stars.
