DANIELS CHEVROLET PURE STOCK RULES 2010

CAR AND BODY:
- Any 1960 or newer sedan with a minimum stock factory wheelbase of 108”.
- Weight 3400LBS. Camaros must weigh 3500 LBS.
- For driver’s safety, all cars are required to have at least a 4-point roll cage. Roll cage must be welded to frame rails and all connections must be fully welded. All cages must be minimum diameter of 1 ½ and minimum wall thickness of .090. A minimum of 3 horizontal bars is required in the driver’s door and minimum of 2 horizontal bars in the passenger’s door required.
- All doors must be welded shut.
- Must have at least 4 windshield bars in front of the driver.
- Stock seat with headrest ok. Racing seat recommended.
- Must have 3-point quick release type seat and shoulder harness of at least 3” wide.
- Must have full front and rear firewall in driver’s compartment.
- Complete bumper-to-bumper steel unibody must be retained. Unibody may not be tied together.
- May hull trunk
- Wheel wells may be cut for tire clearance only.
- Stock dashboard ok. May be replaced with sheet metal.
- Must have stock bumpers. Must have front and rear tow hooks.
- Exhaust: Headers OK must be parallel with ground.
- May run 4 inch rear spoiler.
- May use aftermarket body, aluminum or steel. May run aftermarket nose and tail piece. Aluminum body-add 50 lbs. Bodies must remain stock appearing.
SUSPENSION:
- TIRES: Hoosier RC-4. Steel wheels that are a maximum of 8” wide. May run bead locks on right side.
- Stock mount shocks in stock location.
- Changing of springs ok. Cups ok.
- Screw jacks on rear OK.
- No disc brake rear ends.
- Trailing arms must be stock, unaltered.
- May run tubular top A-arms.
- Any steel driveshaft.
ENGINE:
- The engine must be strictly stock for that make and model. GM in GM. Ford in Ford.
- Engines allowed .060 for bore plus .010 wear. Cast Pistons only. Four Eyebrow Pistons Only.
- Press Pistons Only. L2256F T.R.W. is the only forged piston allowed. May still run cast pistons.
- No clutch fans. This for safety purposes.
- Cam lift .400 intake / .425 exhaust maximum. No tolerance. Hydraulic Lifters only. No Anti-Pumpups. No cross fire cams 4/7 cross
- Piston deck height . Piston cannot come out of block. 70 CC heads minimum. No angle plug heads or after market heads. No porting and polishing on heads. May run screw in studs and guide plates. Any retainers and locks. May run poly locks. Stock type valve springs. No double valve springs. Valve size 1.940 Intake 1.500 Exhaust. Bowl cut in head cannot exceed 1 inch, and must retain lip.
- No coating of engine parts, except pistons.
- No 400 Cubic inch engines.
- No high performance equipment.
- NO big blocks.
- Rods: Stock rods, stock length. SR Eagle or Scat 3/8 bolt or cap screw.
- Stock type distributor.
- Valve Lash .000.
- Crank Shaft stock stroke. Cast crank only. 350 must weigh 50LBS. Scat or Eagle ok.
- All cranks will be weighed with pilot bushing, cam gear, bolt and washer.
- Aluminum radiator is OK. Headers OK. No Zoomies.
CARBURETOR:
- Must be for make and model of car. No modifying of any kind. Can remove choke butterfly. No porting and polishing. 1850 Holley OK. Stock bowls only.
- Spacer plate or adaptor not to exceed 1 inch.
INTAKE:
- Cast Iron Stock type only. No bowtie or marine. No high rise. No porting and polishing.
FUEL:
- Pump gasoline or racing gasoline only. No additives.
TRANSMISSION:
- Stock type transmissions only. May run Nodule Iron Fly Wheel with balance plate. Stock type clutch and pressure plates only. Automatics must have torque converter. No racing transmissions. Fly Wheel must weigh 14lbs. Clutch and pressure plate must weigh 16lbs. No aluminum parts.
REARENDS:
- Stock rear ends only. Lock rear ends ok. Changing of gears ok. No disc brakes. 9” Ford Rear ends OK.
SAFETY:
- Stock fuel tanks ok. Fuel cells highly recommended. Fuel cell must be mounted in metal container. May cut trunk floor to mount fuel cell. All holes or cracks must be sealed up.
- May use racing steering wheels with quick release hub.
- All cars must have track-approved fire extinguisher with gauge. Must be securely installed and cannot be taped to bars or interior.
- Must have complete fire suit.
- No battery in driver’s compartment.
ALL RACERS MUST HAVE A 10LB FIRE EXTINGUISHER IN THEIR PIT AREA! THIS IS MANDATORY BY LAW!!!
